 Course Entry Requirements:  Grade 6 in Art

 Content - 2 year course

Component 1 - Personal Investigation

i) Portfolio of practical work created over a year of study.

ii) A related study / extended essay of  1000-3000 words, undertaken in the second year of study.

All of which will be marked out of 96 and form 60% of the final mark.

Component 2

Assessment is based on a 15 hour externally set task given to students in February of year 13 which is marked out of 96 and forms 40% of the final mark.

Fine Art is recognised by employers and Universities as a course that challenges the students creativity and problem-solving skills. As well as leading students in to a career within visual arts, it also opens doors for students to work and study in a variety of  different fields.
