Welcome

Choosing where to continue your studies once you have completed Year 11 can be a very difficult decision, yet one which will shape your future pathway for many years to come.  Here at St Paul’s we offer a happy, safe and successful learning  environment, where dedicated staff will take time to get to know you as an individual, supporting and challenging you academically as well as providing you with the pastoral care that will help support your future choices in life.

Excellent relationships between staff and students coupled with superb teaching is at the very core of our Sixth Form.  “Achieving Excellence, Learning to Serve” epitomises our holistic approach to education.  We aim to focus on developing the moral,  spiritual and social values of our students, challenging them to achieve academically as well as developing their moral compass, their spiritual life and social values.

It is a very exciting time to be joining our Sixth Form at St Paul’s with our school continuing to go from strength to strength.  In January 2024 we maintained our  “Outstanding Provider of Education” Ofsted judgement with Sixth Form provision also being graded as “Outstanding”.  We have also received an “Outstanding” judgement in our most recent Diocesan Section 48 Inspection.  We are again very proud of our A-Level  outcomes with students achieving an average grade B and our BTEC students achieving an average grade Distinction.  This has resulted in many students being accepted at their first choice university including a large percentage moving to Russell Group universities including Oxford and Cambridge.  To add to this we have recently refurbished our Sixth Form facilities which has resulted in the development of the students very own Sixth Form café as well as new study spaces to ensure that students can excel in all of their subjects in an environment that supports this culture of success.

What we aim for, in short, is that all of our Sixth Form students leave us as well-rounded young adults who are confident and ready to take on new challenges, whether that be at university, an apprenticeship or future employment.
